MEET THE MONEYWISE FINANCIAL ADVISOR TEAM
Alan joined Moneywise 20 years ago, having achieved a 1st Class Masters from UCD and A PhD from the University of Limerick in political science. The research skills developed during these years hold to this day. In typical Irish fashion, his career in academia was cut short by a desire to own a home. As well as the required QFA designation, he has also added postgraduate diplomas in tax and mediation to his record. In his spare time, he enjoys time with his young family, playing tennis & golf, watching Leinster & Ireland, & Rory & Shane, and the occasional Netflix binge.
Richard has been advising clients on their pensions and investments for almost 20 years. Holding a BA from Trinity College, he started his career with Microsoft and IIB Bank before joining the Moneywise team in 2000. Richard’s particular area of expertise is pensions including company and executive pension schemes, personal pensions, and ARFs. Richard is a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA), holds a mortgage diploma (LIAM Dip) and is a member of the Life Assurance Association (LIA). He is also an amateur taxi driver and can be found driving 3 children around Dublin most evenings and weekends.
Pensions & Investments
At the heart of the day-to-day running of the office is Eilish Kelly, who has many years’ experience in customer service and the pensions and investment industry. She is conscientious, courteous and is as committed to our customers and our dedication to timeliness as the business owners.
Non Executive Chairman
In his final year as an executive role in the business in 2013, Owen’s contribution to the industry was acknowledged at the Inaugural LPI Awards where he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. It was a fitting tribute to a working life dedicate to personal and professional integrity and this was his enduring legacy to the business. Owen dedicated his working life to a small group of clients and most of these mutually beneficial relations continue with the business to this day. He was fond of a bit of press coverage back in the day and was a regular in the financial press.
